Mobility Ticket

Basel grants its guests a special privilege: all visitors who spend a night at one of Basel City's hotels automatically receive a Mobility Ticket that lets them use all public transport free of charge during their stay.

Basel Card

The Basel Card is another visitor's special. Visitors to Basel can buy this to benefit from various services and save up to 50% at museums and the zoo, in restaurants, hiring a car, shopping, at for cultural events, and so on.

City-City-Ticket

Apart from travel between your departure and destination stations, City-City-Tickets include a Day Card for unlimited travel on the municipal public transport network in your place of departure and/or your destination. Using a trip from Zurich to Basel as an example, here are your options:

Half-Fare Card

With the Half-Fare Card, you can doubly enjoy your journeys by train, bus and lakeboat, as you pay only half the ordinary ticket fare. This boon is granted also on most private rail networks and mountain railways, and applies to both 1st and 2nd class. Play your cards right: with the Half-Fare Card, you're on the right tracks. You can choose the length of validity that best suits your needs: one, two or three years. And if you're 16 this year, we offer a Half-Fare Card that makes your passage into adulthood that much cheaper.

General Abonnement Card

With the General Abonnement (GA), you can hop aboard the next train and enjoy unlimited travel on SBB's network as well as on most privately operated railways. The card also entitles you to free travel on postbuses, lake and river boats and on trams and buses in numerous Swiss cities and urban networks – totally over 23'500 kilometres of public transport. And many mountain railways and cableways grant special discounts for GA holders.
